Affiliate Disclosure
Short version: some links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a commission. It costs you nothing extra, and it never changes what we say about a product.
How this site makes money
We participate in affiliate programs for the tools we compare, currently Kit and beehiiv. When a reader clicks an affiliate link and becomes a paying customer, the vendor pays us a commission. Those links carry rel="nofollow sponsored" and UTM parameters so we can tell which pages earn their keep.
Links to platforms without affiliate programs (Substack, at time of writing) are plain links. We make nothing from them.
Method and honesty rules
- Prices and program terms are checked on official pricing pages, and every article states its fact-check date. We re-verify monthly and correct when vendors change terms.
- We do not publish personal-experience claims. Where content is based on documented features, public data, or attributed third-party commentary, it says so. Where we have actually set something up ourselves, it says that instead.
- We never accept payment for placement in a comparison. Commission size does not determine our verdict; the fact base in each article lists the sources behind every claim.
- Corrections: spot an error and it gets fixed and dated.
